Reporting from Lansing,Michigan! The turn out was ok, had alot of people intrested in all the Artists and thier books at the get together. Jay from Comics Obscura was awesome in welcoming us out to the show. Alot of cool Networking, and Panel Discussions were had. Of course it was a pleasure to met Jason Howard, who Pencils/Inks and Colors Astonishing Wolf-Man from Image comics...who also was cool enough to do a quick sketch of Jaak Tate. Also shout out to GEMMA of Clay Shaper who did a
pinup of Jaak & Mephast!!!

Greetings People,
Sorry it's been awhile, we've been working on alot of projects over the end of 2007 and some of those are coming to frutation for this Summer. First off there have been quite a few changes to the roster of books coming out. Rudi Mvt will be taking over the Art chores on Tezlon:The Swordsman Series starting with #3. Arif has become impossibly busy with several new projects from companies, we wish Arif luck as he leaves the Swordsman title. Here is a cover sketch from Rudi.

The Swordsman #2 should be finished in time for the MOTOR CITY COMIC CONVENTION MAY 16-18 2008. We will making our appearance at this Summer's show!! I'm very excited at how the Swordsman series is unraveling, stay tuned for more Podcasts giving information on the Swordsman Lore.

Tezlon:Glance of Time- Jason Meents is working hard to bring us the second issue of Jaak Tate's adventures on earth. Larry Lonsby Jr is also working on a 10 page pre-equal story that takes place before the events of Glance of Time #1. This story will be published in Tales of Tezlon 2007, a collected edition of both #1 Issues of Glance & Swordsman, also with some sketches and lore added.

Tezlon RPG-Progress is still going on the slated Tezlon RPG Core Book, more details will be forth coming in April.

Tezlon PODCAST- This week we will upload another invterview with Richard Buckhana based on the Kattan Series. Next week Larry Lonsby Jr will talk about the creation of the Scarecrows.

Currently Tezlon:The Chronicles of the Kattan is put on hold, as well as Tezlon:War of Darkness. We will be focusing heavily this year on Glance and the Swordsman.

We recieved the new shipment of Fall Comics, which includes Tezlon:Glance of Time #1, and the Art of Tezlon Book One. Both books turned out awesome, and we'll be sending out the pre-orders first. The Art of Tezlon will be a Xcape CON 1 Exclusive and we'll be selling the first copies at the show only first. After the book will become available at www.indyplanet.com and the Tezlon Store. On a side note, Larry Lonsby Jr's TOA:The Lost World also will be shipping from Dark Elf Designs as well.

Tezlon First Novel begun...

Larry Lonsby Jr this week announced that the first Novel to be released from the world of Tezlon will be called Tezlon: Knights of the Sigil. It will detail the early adventures of Gedrik Mahalakye of the Swordsman Series. Laying the ground work for the ongoing comic series Tezlon:The Swordsman. We asked Larry some questions regarding some input on his first novel.

TC:What made you decide to write a Novel for the world of Tezlon, especially...with several comic series in the works.

Larry:I think because i've always wanted to try my hand at writing a tezlon novel, since the majority of the tales i wrote earlier on were basically short stories. With the ongoing comic series i had the oppurtunity to tell smaller tales within the Tezlon Universe and present artwork with them.

TC:So the Novel itself will take place in the past?

Larry:Yes roughly 20 years before the events of Tezlon:The Swordsman Comicbook series which is ongoing now. it will detail the early adventures of Gedrik,Arabella,King Malant...Kyle Dendrin the Woodsman. Let's not forget the evil dark Elf Mephast...we'll get a glimpse of how he became who he is.

TC:Will the Novel tie into the comic series?

Larry:Oh definately, if things go right...the novel series will end and open the road to the Swordsman series. I wanted a chance to reveal Gedrik's life, his adventures before the events in The Swordsman comic. I think it's a powerful story, filled with adventure,romance and also tragedy.

TC:How does it fit into the scheme of the Main Tezlon storyline we've heard about?

Larry:Well it actually fits like this...the novel takes place during the end of the Comic Series Tezlon:War of Darkness it will bridge the gap between those two comic series. It really will reveal alot of things and people who read the comics will be excited to see camoes of other Tezlon characters.

TC:Will it be one Novel? Or more?

Larry:As it stands it will be a Trilogy, the first being Knights of the Sigil...the two others will follow. IF everything goes as planned, i will attempt to also release the Novels on Podicast with chapters being read for people to listen to directly from the website at www.tezlon.com.

TC:What does the name Knights of the Sigil mean?

Larry:Without revealing to much at this point, we know the Knights of the Sigil are bonded to thier weapons, via magical Sigil markings...or runes. THese weapons give them special abilities and wield awesome powers, making the Knights very powerful.

TC:When can we expect to see the Novel completed?

Larry: Look for forth coming news here, for the release date.

We also had some key information that the Novel would possibly tie into the Tezlon RPG game due out towards Fall of 2008.

A Look At Glance of Time

While forming the world of Tezlon, The Glance of Time Chapter become the main focus in the early stages of writing the entire story. As per the history of Tezlon, it all started originally with a young Maxx finding a Gateway leading to another world...this world was formally named Necotrannis, later the people living within the world would call it TEZLON. Maxx's adventures were short and i built off of them, Narzya of course being the evil magic user...and Maxx being the hero. In the first Draft Maxx's pet Dog came through the portal with Maxx and was transformed into a gigantic bear like creature similiar to his dog. It was able to speak, and Maxx rode him when they travelled. During that adventure, Maxx freed a group of Magical Fairies from the wicked rule of Narzya...the fairies later on would become the basis for the FAEN race. Although some of the ideas remained in tact, alot of it has changed over the years. I always knew that Maxx would remain one of the main characters which we would follow through the world Tezlon. It was his journey from being a teenager to eventually becoming a man, his pitfalls, his tragedy...alongside his victories and celebrations. The first two chapters take place on Earth, and the 3rd chapter will introduce the world of Tezlon to readers. Those who have read Tezlon:The Swordsman get a glimpse into the past of the main story arc..which all seemingly connect eventually. Taking pride in releasing Glance of Time after some long hard work has brought satisfication to my heart. With Jason's Meents cartoony style, and blod black and white strokes...both of us will continue to bring you the tales of Maxx Manifest,Jennifer Tremolo,Jaak Tate,Dothesis and many more for the years to come...For those intrested in a little more of the Histoty behind Glance of Time, check out these links...

R.I.P. Mike Wieringo

"the comics industry lost a luminary this weekend - Mike Wieringo passed away Sunday of a sudden heart attack. Details are still sketchy as of this time, but according to close sources, the acclaimed artist had chest pains at some point during the day and called 911, but the responders did not make it in time.

Wieringo was 44 years old. He was a vegetarian, and "one of the healthiest ones of us in the bunch," as his longtime friend and collaborator Todd Dezago described him. Currently, there are no details about services or a funeral.

Wieringo worked every day, updating his blog and website with a constant stream of sketches at MikeWieringo.com. His last sketch was posted on Friday."

How do you begin to write a Blog when you are sadden and in shook. Mike Wieringo passed away suddenly taking with him his love of life and art. Leaving behind a legacy of pencil lines brought together to form drawings which touched the imaginations of thousands of people who looked upon it. Beginning work on the First Tezlon Novel

So i've begun the process of laying out the first Tezlon Novel. I had always hoped that the Comics of Tezlon would weave the stories i have locked inside. I now believe that the Comics serve as a visual reference of the story in my mind, but i now know i must delve deeper and begin construction of the first Book in the Epic series. I never imagined how vast and gigantic a task writing a novel was untill i had listened to some podcasts of different writers, also taking in alot of books as of late. Starting from the beginning is always hard, like i've said before i know how the story begins and ends...but it is the journey the characters take that must be told...stay tuned for details on the Novel.

Last evening after many years of trying to get TOOL tickets, my best friend Bob got us Tickets to see TOOL and we went, i had blast finally seeing them live in concert. For those who enjoy thier music, they definately know how to put on a live performance that is sickely close to hearing them on the CD. Thier light show and screen show was of course in taste with thier style and music, and was mezmorising to say the least. TOOL has been a big inspiration in some of the creation process of Tezlon through the years, giving way to the small passages, sketches and writings dealing with the Darkfinders. The Summer days are sprawling by quite rapidly, with the success of the Swordsman #1, we've placed a re-order for the Normal version of the Comicbook #1. For those who obtained one of the exclusive Black Border Editions, consider it now a Collectors Edition. Tezlon:The Swordsman #2 is Currently being finished up by Arif, who is set to begin pencils and work on the long awaited Tezlon:War of Darkness Series as well.

Tezlon:Glance of Time is heading to the printers. As it stands it will be a Full Color cover and interior black & White. Jason Meents style has brought to life the tale of Maxx Manifest, and the introduction of a few key Characters from the Realm of Tezlon. This Series will feature the only EARTH stories in the setting of the fantasy world of Tezlon. We have many exciting things planned for the readers in the Glance of Time series, so be sure to pick a copy up from our website, or www.indyplanet.com when it becaomes available.

The Swordsman Poster is finished, and will be up on the website soon enough. This full size poster will come in two sizes, and features the Hero Cast of the Swordsman comigbook. Arif of course gave us the artwork, and Santosh graced it with his digital painting. I'll post a preview soon enough.

A small note, i've been producing a Secret project called TOA...oddly enough it has no links to the world of Tezlon.

Yeah! Swordsman #1 was dropped off at the Dark Elf Designs Publisher booth, as me and some friends cruised the show. I met up with alot of people, and did some networking. Special shout out to Dereck and Norm at Venterra Productions !!!! Anyways, my feet hurt, legs hurt, spine hurts...but all in all had fun, and definately started paving the way for Tezlon to be in the hands of those willing to drop $3 on the book and take a chance. #1 With the Time Herald, Tezlon has gotten a much larger recognition and exposure. Already i've gotten a few orders for the Comicbook from local residents. The machine will keep on trucking and make it's mark.

#2 Forth Coming news will be revealed this weekend on perhaps an Exciting Venture which Tezlon will be possibly making. All system are go, and will update with more news this weekend on the subject.

War of Darkness Graphic Novel & Goddess Rising Series

First and foremost i want to welcome Michelle Wain to the Tezlon writing team. She has actually been around in the shadows, helping with a couple plot lines, and character developments. Michelle will be working with me on Tezlon: Goddess Rising Series. Based on the Fire Elemental Dahlia and the Earlier Adventures set a 100 years Prior to the War of Darkness Series. This Series will focus on the Rise and Fall of the Ancients and the Phoenix Elementals. Watch for this to take off in the Fall.

Update on Tezlon:War of Darkness the Graphic Novel. Arif will begin working on Rough Pages for the Graphic Novel which introduces the characters Narzya & Majestic Manifest. In this story we will learn of the events which lead up to the War that sets into motion events that draw all the Characters within the Tezlon storyline. The Creation of the Scarecrows, and the fate of a character who will one day appear in the Glance of Time series.

Dwarven Tales-Ben Swinson's creation of a band of Artifact Hunters who are on a quest to destroy several Artifacts which are sought by an Ancient Darkfinder. Ben has taken a break from drawing comics for a few years to finish school and take care of his kids. Now back in the saddle, Ben plans releasing 1-2 books to finish up the first Dwarven Tales series. Azar Relm-A nomadic Scarecrow who roams the realm, only to have his life changed by an mysterious Wraith. Narzya Darkfinder created a race of magical beings called Scarecrows to fight for him. Here is a look at one of the first dark versions of them.

The Kinn were an ancient Race who escaped to tezlon from another world during a great War. The Kinn settled on the Eastern Continent and became fast allies with the Kattan and Elves. As time would come to pass, the Kinn would be devastated in a large war, many returned back to thier native world, only a few stayed behind.

Currently Both books are in the Lettering stage/ with just a few more pages left from Jason Meents, and the Swordsman basically almost finished. It is definately looking like both books will way ahead of the schedule.

Derek Baillie creator of Venterra Chronicles has taken on the chore of Editor for all the Tezlon books! Welcome aboard Derek!

Tezlon:The 5 kingdoms~ Met with Richard Buckhana over lunch, and discussed the Plot, Character designs, and overall ideas for the series which will give us a Glimpse in the past of Tezlon and one of it's coolest races, the catlike humanoid race KATTAN. This book will start production in a month, with a release date set for Decemeber 2008.

A Tezlon side project based on the Gods of the Realm is in the works. Michelle Fitzpatrick is working on the plot, and character designs, i will be helping on the writing chores. One of the characters will eventually play an important role in the ongoing Tezlon series. More information will be released in the future.

Tezlon: The 5 Kingdoms

Plans are in the works to release the 4th Series of Tezlon in Dec 2007. Dubbed as Tezlon: The 5 Kingdoms is based on the Kattan Empire, a story which takes place in the past of Tezlon. I approached Richard Buckhana in teaming up to write the series. Richard had earlier on helped me develop the concept of the Samurai like Cat Race of Tezlon. I thought it only fitting that i return back to the roots, and produce a script and story that fits in the realm of the Tezlon Universe. Arif has signed on to Draw and bring to life the 5 Kingdoms. Arif sent over the finished Inked Cover for #1, looking good. He also had an alternate cover arranged differently which will be seen on the Tezlon Behind section at www.tezlon.com in the forums section. The cover is now in production, as i am laying flat colors down.
